MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission, here at South Texas Feathers, is to provide you with the best suited animal. We have reproduced an area of natural habitat to house and care for our animals. All our animals are handled by our single trained expert and are treated with our utmost care. 

We strive ourselves in pride and are constantly improving our facitilities to address the needs of our exotics. Our animals are all on strict diets to ensure a long and healthy life. All of our Parrots and Macaws are on mixed diets. We find that a change in diet keeps them from getting bored. There diets include but is not limited to: Mazuri, ZuPreem, Fruits, Nuts, Seeds, and cooked pasta.

HISTORY

Breeder Genetics was founded by Andres Gonzalez in 2005 and is located in South Texas. Breeder Genetics began as his hobby where he began with a single snapping turtle, later named Megalodon. His passion for domestic animals and livestock, soon led to the desire of raising exotics.

Andres's desire for the well-being of his collection is evident. His collection has now evolved to over 200 animals and is still growing. 

EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS

Due to the onset of additional work, Presentations will be postponed until further notice. 

Over the past ten years, Andres has been providing educational presentations to elementary schools in Harlingen. As his animal collection grew, his presentations began covering a wide variety of classroom units. Some units included are: "Farm Unit", "Tortoise vs. Turtle", "Natural Habitats", "Egg-xotic Eggs", and many more.

If you would like more information about scheduling a presentation, Presentations start at $50 for the 1st class up to 30 students and $25 for each addition class of 30. Presentations last between 1 to 2 hours. Please contact us at breedergenetics@live.com for more information.
